Sheikh Muhammad Yallas

Beginnings
Sheikh Muhammad Yallas was born in the mid-1800's (some accounts say 1840, while others say 1855). He studied theology and law to a high level in Tlemcen, a city in the north-west of Algeria.
His Work
Sheikh Muhammad Yallas used to give classes in Islamic knowledge and spiritual purification. He was the teacher of many great scholars, such as Sheikh Hashimi. Sheikh Hashimi was the teacher of Sheikh Abdul Rahman al Shaghouri, who is an immense scholar and the teacher of many of our teachers today.
Some accounts say that Sheikh Muhammad Yallas was arrested when he was eighty years because he opposed the occupation of Syria, but he was soon released. And Allahu 'alam.
He passed away in Damascus, Syria, in 1927 or 1928.
